One of Maria’s musical passions is enabling others to find the joy of singing, particularly together with other people in a choir. She currently directs Leeds and Bradford All For One Choirs, which are fantastic non-auditioned groups open to everyone.

The ethos is inclusive, encouraging and fun. As relatively new choirs, these two groups have gone from strength to strength through the past year, with some wonderful performances to date. Recent highlights have included being selected to sing with famous tenor Russell Watson at Leeds Grand Theatre. The choirs have also performed with Brit Award winning vocal group Blake, at Leeds 10K race, in Trinity Leeds shopping centre and many local community events.

Maria sees the social and musical sides of her choirs as equally important, so her approach is always to strive for excellence whilst keeping a culture of positivity, fun and enjoyment. She is experienced in leading singers in a wide range of genres from classical to pop, rock and gospel. Recent choir music has included Puccini, Take That and Sister Act! Previously she directed the Bradford based Jubilee Gospel Choir (2009-2012) and sang with the Zamar Gospel Choir in York.
